1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Hub Marketplace ("Hub," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our platform.

Hub is a peer-to-peer marketplace that connects buyers and sellers of PC hardware and computer components. We facilitate transactions but are not a party to any agreements between users.

2. Eligibility
 

You must be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent to use Hub. By creating an account, you represent that:
 

• You are legally capable of entering into binding contracts

• All registration information you provide is accurate and current

• You will maintain the accuracy of your information

• You will not use the platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

3. Account Responsibilities
 

You are responsible for:
 

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials

• All activities that occur under your account

• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

• Ensuring your account information remains accurate and up to date

4. Prohibited Items & Conduct
 

You may only list and sell computer hardware and related components. The following are strictly prohibited:
 

• Counterfeit, stolen, or illegally obtained items

• Non-computer hardware items

• Items that violate intellectual property rights

• Fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive listings
 

You may not:
 

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users

• Impersonate any person or entity

• Use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools

• Post spam or unsolicited advertising

• Use profanity, hate speech, or offensive language in listings

• Post ALL-CAPS titles, excessive punctuation, or emoji-only content

• Include external contact information (phone numbers, social media handles) to circumvent the platform
 

5. Content Moderation
 

Hub uses a combination of automated filtering and manual review to maintain a safe and trusted marketplace:
 

• Automated Filters: Listings are automatically screened for prohibited content, profanity, scam indicators, and spam patterns. Listings that violate these filters will be rejected immediately with an explanation.

• User Reporting: All users can report listings they believe violate our guidelines. Reports are reviewed by our team.

• Manual Review: Our team reviews reported content and flagged listings. We may remove content, issue warnings, or suspend accounts at our discretion.
 

If your listing is rejected or removed, you may revise it to comply with our guidelines and resubmit. Repeated violations may result in account suspension.

6. Listings & Transactions
 

Sellers agree to:
 

• Provide accurate descriptions, photos, and pricing

• Honor all listings until marked as sold or removed

• Respond to buyer inquiries in a timely manner

• Complete transactions in good faith

Buyers agree to:
 

• Communicate respectfully with sellers

• Inspect items carefully before finalizing purchases

• Complete transactions in good faith
 

Hub does not process payments or guarantee transactions. All transactions are between buyers and sellers. We are not responsible for disputes, fraud, non-delivery, or item quality.

7. Fees
 

Hub is currently free to use. We reserve the right to introduce fees for certain services in the future. Users will be notified at least 30 days before any fee structure is implemented.

8. Safety & Meetups
 

For local pickups, we strongly recommend:
 

• Meeting in well-lit, public locations

• Bringing a friend or notifying someone of your plans

• Testing items before completing the purchase

• Using secure payment methods
 

Hub is not responsible for any injuries, theft, fraud, or damages that occur during in-person meetups. You assume all risk when meeting other users.
 

9. Disclaimers
 

HUB IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.
 

• We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or legality of listings

• We do not verify user identities or conduct background checks

• We are not responsible for user conduct, disputes, or transactions
 

10. Limitation of Liability
 

Hub, its founders, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform.

Our total liability shall not exceed $100 USD.
